Happy Valentines Day 2013
Valentines Day is a holiday to celebrate your loved ones. So with that said, I would like to share with you my dearest love!
As a military family, we don't always get to celebrate Holidays on their actual calendar day....and that is OK! Or sometimes we celebrate them, but virtually together instead of side by side!!!
A year ago today, I was awaiting his arrival back from Afghanistan after he had been deployed for a year. He didn't arrive home in time for Valentines Day, but we joke between us that if he was ever home on the actual day of Holidays like this, it would be a miracle. :O) But that is OK, we celebrate whether we are together or far apart. See, we have been together for more than 25 years, and 20 of those have been spent in the military. Many years we have been separated for one reason or another but that never stops us from appreciating the love we have for each other. I feel so lucky that God brought me a spectacular man to love and cherish! He is more than I could have ever have hoped for.
This photo was taken a few days after Valentines Day last year. Moments after he landed home again. It was so good to have him close and to get a HUG. His hugs are some of the best!!! ;O) Together we have both been blessed with 3 wonderful children who daily exceed every expectation we have for them.
Today I will celebrate Valentines Day with my boys. Bowling and lunch out is on our agenda to begin with. I will chat with my daughter who is away at college. And with fingers crossed my Valentine will arrive home late today after traveling all week long. So much better than having him worlds apart!
From my Family to yours, I sincerely hope you have an amazing Valentines Day with whomever you celebrate it with and no matter whether you are together or apart.
Happy Valentines Day!!!
