Home is Where your Heart Is - Hand Lettered

Today's sketch is my attempt at hand lettering.  Thanks to two online courses, one by Caroline Winegeart, 30 Days to Better Hand Lettering, and one by Mary Kate McDevitt, First Steps of Hand Lettering, I have been trying my hand at lettering.  I'm still not the best at it, but I am working on it.  

This was my sketchbook edition.  I then scanned it into my computer and worked on it in both Photoshop and Illustrator to get to the black and white version above.  My next step will be to add color to it.  

And WA-LA!!!  What do you think?  Color definitely adds something to it.
